Analysis of the Lib-Dems Reshuffle

It's 'Musical Chairs' time over at the Limp-Dumbs HQ, then. The changes are as follows:

SUMMARY

  • Someone you've never heard of: Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change
  • Somebody else equally invisible: Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions
  • An unknown person: Shadow Leader of the House
  • A female MP you've never heard of: Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster
  • The Invisible Man: Shadow Secretary of State for Justice
Apparently, somebody else I've never heard of is leaving the Shadow Cabinet in order to whinge about the new runway at Heathrow. No doubt she'll be as audible in that role as she was in . . er. . . whatever she was doing before.

ANALYSIS

Who cares? The only two Limp-Dumbs most of the electorate could name are Vince Cable and Mark Oaten - and they don't remember Oaten for his political savvy.

'Shadow Cabinet' is about right in this case - shadows are equally insubstantial, often barely seen and never, ever heard.
