The result of the vote just got announced, defeated by a majority of 72.
Those several hundred MPs just came out of the woodwork after the oh-so-boring debate part, obviously.
Disgusting . . . .
Martin, the missing MPs are in a better place than the woodwork.
I used to frequent a Westminster bar (which had better remain nameless) where every now and then a number of drinkers in suits would receive a call, stagger to their feet and lurch out of the door to go off and vote in the Commons.
Breathalyse the lot of them in the lobbies and disqualify the ones who've been in the pub all evening - that might help future attendance.
