A Song for the G20 Protests

I could've done 'I Predict A Riot' - but that would have been too easy, and perhaps a spot of Nat King Cole will soothe the fevered brows of protesters and plod alike.

There may be police ahead,
But while we've banners, and placards,
And reason to rant,
Let's face the cordon and chant

Before the leaders have fled
Before the taxpayers foot the bill
And while we still have the chance
Let's face the cordon and chant

Soon, the G20 will commune
And Brown sing the same old tune,
Till then. . .

There may be police ahead,
But while we've banners, and placards,
And reason to rant,
Let's face the cordon and chant, chant,
Let's face the cordon and chant!
