Be Seeing You. . .

Farewell to the legendary Patrick McGoohan, star and creator of The Prisoner.

You were never a number, and the concepts and ideas of The Prisoner are more relevant today than they ever were before.

Hope wherever you are is better than The Village.

  1. And don't know what to say except: a sad day. He was a fine actor and I admired him a lot.

  2. I loved this series, and it made me get off my backside and go and visit Portmeirion (several times, in fact). Patrick McGoohan also did a pretty good job in 'Columbo' too.

To be fair, the last episode of "The Prisoner" was a bit of a let-down, but the music, fashions, and the 'encapsulation' of the sixties in the series was wonderful.

    RIP Mr. McGoohan

  3. Am I the only one old enough to remember him in Dangerman?

    Always enjoyed his films.

  4. Not to mention his excellent part in Alastair MacLean's Ice Station Zebra.

  6. I've spent many happy days in The Village. Not with The Prisoner Appreciation Society (which is, I believe, called Six of One), just on pub crawls. :)
